[영어표현] One thing led to another

1. One thing led to another :

하다보니 그렇게 됐다. 어느 날 보니 그러고 있더라.

2. the next thing I knew 

3. before I knew it :

상황이 빨리 바뀌었다.

(계획했던 일이 아니어서 어째서 그렇게 됐는지는 모른다.)

 

A : How did you guys (two) meet?

B : Well, we werer attending a Spanish class together and the teacher would pair us up to practice. So, we naturally got to talking. And, before I knew it, we werer texting each other and spending more time outside of class. And.. well, you know, one thing led to another and the next thing I knew, we werer talking about marriage.

ex) Af first, we were just talking a little, but one thing led to another, and he asked me out.

ex) He came by to see if she was lonely. One thing led to another and he stayed the night.

ex) We were just going to meet for quick coffee, but one thing led to another and we spent the whole night chatting about our most personal issues.

ex) I kept spending more and more money until I was broke. You know how one thing leads to another. He brought a car, then a house, then a boat. One thing leads to another.

 

 

ex) And before I knew it, I was being messaged and e-mailed by interested parties.

ex) Before I knew it though tears were streaming down my face and Marco reached over and wrapped me in a bear hug.

ex) I opend my mouth to yawn, but before I knew it, I was throwing up on the floor.

ex) I started with aright hook, and before I knew it I was nearly punching the stuffing out of that old bag.

ex) Before I knew it I was walking over to her and offering my hand for her to shake.
